Blake's Shingle Street collaboration with the band celebrated Suffolk landscapes and seascapes. Now he has widened his scope to encompass themes of elation, regret, nostalgia, sensuality and domestic mishap. There's a sense of passing time or ‘timefulness’ – of fading memories, missed chances and the coming of age - but his touch remains light throughout.

This year’s performance will feature poems from Blake’s new pamphlet Never the right time. Readings will be accompanied by music composed and played by members of the Hosepipe Band.
