Plan your visit to the museum

The museum is now open full time! Come visit us and find out more about the Lost City of Dunwich.

During the open season, we are open from 11.30-4.30pm, seven days a week from April (or Easter if sooner) to the end of October. We are a free museum and donations are welcome! Visits during the closed season may be booked by emailing us at manager@dunwichmuseum.org.uk.

Dunwich Museum is wheelchair accessible, with an easy slope into the museum at the back door and a lift to the first floor.

We are dog friendly and welcome all well behaved dogs and their owners.

Getting here

Dunwich Museum, IP17 3DT,  is on Saint James Street, a little way down from the Ship Inn, and much nearer to the sea than it once would have been.

There is a large beach car park nearby and some on-street parking. Disabled visitors are often able to stop outside the museum and park nearby.

There is no bus service in Dunwich, although bus transport can be booked in advance at CATS.
