This delightful and charming museum will keep you and your children entertained from a short visit to a whole afternoon.
Extended and refurbished in 1998 after a generous grant from the National Lottery it has won numerous awards including the coveted Gulbenkian Prize.
The museum was founded on the legacy of the original borough, which includes the mace and seal used by the aldermen and councillors of Dunwich.
The people of Dunwich run the museum on a purely voluntary basis. Admission is free, but in the absence of any public revenue funding, we do suggest a donation in lieu of entry fee, and anything you’d like to throw into the ancient Dunwich Town treasure chest will really help us maintain and add to the collection.
